HALLIE MCFADDEN, HEAD COACH:
Hallie was raised swimming in Chattanooga. After graduating from GPS, UVA and UCLA School of Law, Hallie served as a JAG Corps officer in the USNR. While in the Navy, Hallie was the swim leg of outstanding triathlon teams. Upon her return to Chattanooga, she began open water swimming in addition to her pool workouts. Hallie has swum in Swim the Suck twice, and swam a marathon in the TN River in 2011. She is a certified USMS coach as well as a practicing lawyer, wife and mother. In her free time, she swims and cross-trains, for both pool and open water competitions.
ANDY SWEET, ASSISTANT COACH:
Andy lives and breathes triathlon. He competed in his first triathlon in 1992 at age 10, and now has six Ironman finishes to his name, in addition to 13 years of competitive swimming experience. Andy is co-owner of HUB Endurance, a cycling and triathlon store on the North Shore that also provides professional coaching services. He is a USA Triathlon and USA Cycling certified coach and loves working with athletes of all levels. He believes strongly in the quality of workouts versus quantity, so you can expect some great sessions with him on deck.
ZACH WINCHESTER, ASSISTANT COACH:
Zach started swimming as a youngster, but was more interested in sharks and minnows until my eighth grade year at the Baylor School. After a successful high school swimming career, he went on to swim the butterfly events for the University of Alabama. He graduated in 2003 from UA and embarked on a journey of work and an amateur triathlon career. In 2009 he earned my professional license with USA Triathlon and competed both domestically and internationally on the non-draft and ITU circuits. Zach had successful 2009 and 2010 seasons, but began 2011 by having a knee surgery, which ended my career in triathlon. He couldn't be happier with my ended career as it directly led to a reunion with my college sweetheart; they got married on Oct 8, 2011. He and his wife are expecting our first child in April of 2013.
