
Group Fitness Classes Descriptions
Aerobic Dance - A non-stop dance inspired workout designed to increase cardio, strengthen muscles and improve flexibility. Learn fun choreography set to a variety of music styles.
Lite N Lively - A light impact, moderate intensity class incorporating fat-burning aerobic activity and resistance work with bands or hand held weights. Great for new or returning exerciser!
Aerobic Cross-Training - The ideal class for people who love variety in their workouts. Activities may include: step aerobics, kick-boxing, hi/lo impact aerobics and resistance work using body weight, bands and dumbbells.
Step - An intense aerobic class using an adjustable step to raise and lower your body, to increase your cardio workout and strengthen your legs. Step Interval-Resistance intervals with step aerobics.
TurboKick - Fun, fast and easy fat-blasting moves that work every part of your body with phenomenal focus on fabulous abdominals without even hitting the floor.
Muscle Conditioning - A true weight-training class involving the use of dumbbells and body weight as resistance to help increase muscle strength & definition and even bone density. No aerobics.
Pilates - A core stability and body conditioning mat based class which combines correct breathing, body alignment and form to accomplish goals of improving strength, flexibility, posture and uniting body and mind in a stress-free atmosphere.
Silver Sneakers® I - Muscular Strength & Range of Movement: Enjoy a variety of exercises while moving to the music in this chair based class! Designed to increase endurance and strength for easier daily function. Activities include exercises using hand-held weights, elastic tubing and small balls. Ends with stretching and relaxation. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing w/handles and a ball is used to increase endurance & strength for easier management of your daily activities. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
SilverSneakers®II - CardioCircuit:More challenging than SS I with intervals of resistance work & aerobic activity to make you sweat! Participants must be able to stand without assistance throughout class.
Tai Chi - Slow-motion Chinese exercise that focuses on increasing balance & awareness while improving posture and reducing stress. The health benefits range from lower blood pressure to memory enhancement, detoxification and improved joint health.
Yoga - Learn and master movements that serve to increase blood flow, balance, flexibility, strength, relaxation and mind-body connection. Meditation is not a component of this class.
Essential Core-Abdominal and back strengthening/conditioning-No matter what your sport or type of workout, this workout will enhance your output. Drop in for this one every chance you get!
Studio Cycle* - An intense cardio workout on a stationary bike that is adjustable to provide a custom fit. Instructor provides motivating music and instruction. Participants can control the level of intensity on bike. New “cyclers” please arrive 10 minutes early for setup instruction.
Wee Gym - Parent/child (walking to 3 years) activity class. Non-members may attend for fee.
