Hello Fellow YMCA Members,
My name is Shirley Gill. I am a step aerobics instructor at the J. A. Henry Family YMCA. My class is held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 12:05 p.m. and lasts for 50 minutes. This class is available to all members of the YMCA-women, men, young people, middle-aged and sweetly seasoned seniors!
This is a moderately intense class where everyone is encouraged to modify the moves to meet their own personal needs. Even if you can't stay for the whole class, don't sweat it (no pun intended)! Just come and do what you can. A little is better than nothing at all! We target several areas including arms, legs, abs, hips and cardio for the heart. The music is upbeat and helps make the workout more fun. I feel it is a well-rounded class, and I would like to personally invite you to come try us out and bring a friend. There's always room for more participants. "The more, the merrier!" I hope to see you soon. Together we can work on developing a healthier, happier body. (Remember to bring your bottled water!)
