Locations

The J.A. Henry YMCA After School Program is available to pick up your child at the following locations and transport them to our facilities (Due to State of TN Licensing restrictions, we cannot transport Pre-K):

• Woodmore Elementary
• East Ridge Middle School
• East Ridge Elementary School
• Mcbrein Elementary School
• Spring Creek School
• Barger Academy Of Fine Arts

* Other schools may be accepted in the future based on need. Minimum participation must be met for continued transportation. Final decision will be made by Program Director.

Program Content

The YMCA is committed to total wellness in spirit, mind and body. Through the YMCA Character Development Program, the Y After School Program, will focus on five core values and will integrate these values into the daily activities for all students as part of the focus on spiritual wellness. These values are Faith, Caring, Honesty, Respect, and responsibility. The emphasis on mental wellness will involve a variety of opportunities, including guest speakers, homework, tutoring, the art and culture. Physical wellness is encouraged through activities such as dance, aerobics, intramurals, and organized sports.

Rates

• YMCA members - $40 per week
• Non-YMCA members - $60 per week
• Registration - $50 per family

Childcare certificates are accepted. Limited YMCA scholarships are available based on financial need and availability of funds.

Registration forms can be picked up at the J.A. Henry YMCA. All forms must be completed and turned into the YMCA with the registration fee and the first week fees prior to starting the after school program.
