The Downtown YMCA Family Center will begin renovations of the first and second floor in August 2007.  The entire first floor will be completely changed to serve our community.  The lobby area will be complete with a cafe and Christian library.  The Family Center/Child Watch will enlarge and include an indoor playgroud and an entrance to the outdoor playground.  A senior and family center will over look our pool and there will be a new media center for teens to conduct research and develop new leadership programs.  The men's fitness center will be renovated in addition to new community meeting rooms.

The YMCA fitness floor will include over 21,000 square feet of space.  A new cardio spin studio will allow you to exercise on your own or during a regular instructor led class.  The aerobic center will have two 2000 square foot studios that will allow the YMCA to double the classes offered to our members.  The wellness center will double its cardio center, increase the machine and free weights.  A new well fit center will include an exercise system for new members, nutrition and testing center.  In addition to all these new areas the basketball gym will be renovated to original size and there will be 3 raquetball courts.  An addition exercise studio will be available for those of you who like hit the punching bag or jump rope for a warm up. 

 The New Wellness Center, Front Lounge area, and the Mens Adult Locker will be done by the Middle  of Feburary 2008.
