The officers, all of whom are high school students, provide leadership for the SHSMUN conference. The officers work as a team year-round preparing for the following year's high school and middle school Model UN conferences.
The Secretary-General and Director-General oversee the conference as a whole, while the other officers specialize in a particular area, such as chairing one specific committee.
