The YMCA offers water aerobics classes for seniors and members of the community. 

Water aerobics is low-impact exercise performed in shallow water that focuses on range of motion and strength building. Exercise routines also provide a cardiovascular workout that can strengthen the heart and lungs to enhance the circulatory system.

The water provides a natural resistance that can also benefit:

  • muscular strength and endurance
  • balance and gait
  • bone density and joint health
  • Aerobics in the water also helps to burn a large number of calories per workout when compared to land aerobics.
