Get Involved

Volunteers provide essential assistance in the administration of each department division, serve on committees, work with staff to meet the needs of our members and participants, and provide many other valuable contributions to the organization. Our YMCA offers year-round volunteer opportunities for members and non-members from the community and surrounding areas to give back and help build a better community within our Y. Opportunities range throughout the year and are based upon need within a program or department.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways to help at your local Y. Volunteering does more than just help others, it can change your own life for the better. That's what we're all about here at the Y.

Whether it's prepping healthy meals for inner city youths, YMCA Food and Fun, summer feeding programs, or other Y outreach programs, sometimes we have no idea the impact volunteering will have on us, as well as those we serve.

We have many volunteer opportunities at the Y. A few of the areas in need of volunteers include:

As a volunteer, you must complete a background check and fill out a volunteer application. If you volunteer with children, a fingerprint check is required in addition to a background check. Contact your branch to learn more:
